Women Who Helped

Many people think women never impact wars and event that happen but its not true. Numerous of women served in all branches f serve as nurses, physical therapists, air traffic controllers, photographers, legal officers, etc.. About 7,484 women served in the Vietnam war, 83% were mostly nurses. 1,200 female soldiers. Women risk their life's protecting the injured Vietnam. For example, Sharon Ann Lane was the first nurse killed by enemy fire. Lane grew up in Zanesville, Ohio. She attended nursing in Canton and joined the Army Nurse Corps Reserve on April 18,1968. Lane was working in the 312th's Ward 4 when a 122mm rocket struck in and exploded. She died instantly.
