The Battlefield


By 1970, roughly 25 percent of U.S. Military was living on farms or ruarl communities. There ware 7.5 million tons of bombs dropped in North and South Vietnam. The Vietnam war destroyed most of the farmland and the rice paddies. The plan of massive bombing campaign and technologie. The military soon shifted to the forests and the jungles, so it would be much easier to hide and plan attacks. Much of the interior composed of rugged mountains and pleatues. Farmers perferred a cluster in the relativley small area of lowlands.
